Smart Choice
How do I qualify for SmartChoice?
To be a part of the SmartChoice System, you will need to have the following things either ready or set in motion:
- Finance approved and ready or will be ready in the time required to sign your Building Contract.
- Have a block of that that is titled or titling within 4 months of signing your Building Contract.
How many SmartChoice customers are eligible every month?
Currently we have4 spotsevery month. The start of every monthresetsthe counter back to 4. We treat this as a first-in first-served basis.
What happens if I don't make it into the first 4 spots for the month?
The response for theSmartChoice System has been nothing short of amazing and we thank all of our customers for that. Those that just missed out are usually placed in the following month. It's common that this is booked out for the next 2 months. For example; if you missed out on Jan 2025, then Feb and Mar 2025 may also be booked out. Sometimes we can fit you in if there is a cancellation, although these are rare.
What happens if you don't finish my build in 16 weeks?
So far, this has not happened.SmartChoice is designed that way. If for some reason we ever miss the deadline, there's $5,000 cash back to you. We did this so that we are held accountable on our promise.
Can I make changes to a SmartChoice design?
Generally the answer is no, however, we have been known to make the occasional exception here and there depending on the complexity of the change. Ask us by emailing build@melwidehomes.com.
I have my own design drawn, can I use them for SmartChoice?
Unfortunately not as our SmartChoice plans are designed to meet scheduled build times. This would fall into the realm of a custom home, which is ok as we can help you there too, the timeframes will vary slightly.
